This took ages to get on kept crapping out on me. I didn't find this useful it all. Unless you have a good idea of the types of search engine you want, they were difficult to locate and use. This is not something I will use in the future. I did register for the experience of doing so, but won't be going back.

I thik you really need to know exactly what you're after to bother building your own search engine - could be a good study tool though :)
